AllAbilitiesActive OER Platform Launched to Support Inclusive Outdoor Sports and Education

The AllAbilitiesActive: Crafting Inclusive Outdoor Sporting Experiences project is pleased to announce the launch of its Online OER Platform, developed to provide open and direct access to the main educational resources produced within the project.
The platform has been designed for educators, trainers, coaches, parents and other stakeholders who work with students with intellectual disabilities and aim to promote their active participation in outdoor sports. Through this platform, users can easily access practical materials, inclusive sports activities, trainer guidance and parent-friendly recommendations.
One of the main objectives of the OER Platform is to ensure the sustainability and long-term impact of the AllAbilitiesActive project. By making all project deliverables available online, the platform allows teachers, trainers and parents to improve their knowledge and skills at their own learning pace. All resources can be viewed directly on the platform without the need for downloads, making the learning process more accessible, practical and user-friendly.
The platform includes four key sections:
Best Practices Booklet
This section presents successful examples and comprehensive guidance on inclusive education and inclusive outdoor sport practices. It aims to inspire schools, organisations and professionals to adapt effective approaches in their own contexts.
Inclusive Sport Programme
The Inclusive Sport Programme offers outdoor sport activities specifically designed for students with intellectual disabilities. These activities aim to support participation, cooperation, physical activity, self-confidence and social inclusion.
Guide for Trainers
The Guide for Trainers provides step-by-step methodologies for teachers, coaches and trainers. It helps professionals plan, adapt and implement inclusive outdoor sport activities safely and effectively.
Bite-sized Recommendations for Parents
This section includes quick, practical and easy-to-apply recommendations prepared especially for parents. The aim is to support families in encouraging children’s participation in physical activity and inclusive sport experiences.
With the launch of the OER Platform, the AllAbilitiesActive project continues to promote equal opportunities, accessibility and inclusion in outdoor sports. The platform will serve as a lasting educational resource for all individuals and institutions who wish to create more inclusive, active and supportive learning environments for students with intellectual disabilities.
