We are excited to announce the launch of the AllAbilitiesActive project on 1st December 2024! This 18-month Erasmus+ project is designed to promote inclusion in outdoor sports for students with intellectual disabilities (IDs).
Many students with IDs face exclusion from sports due to negative attitudes, lack of support, and limited training for educators. AllAbilitiesActive aims to change that by:
- Researching the needs of students with IDs and collecting best practices
- Developing the first inclusive outdoor sports programme in this field
- Training 150 educators across 4 countries
- Organizing outdoor sports events for at least 250 students
- Engaging students without disabilities to promote inclusion
- Supporting 120 parents with practical sport ideas for their children
By empowering teachers, trainers, and families, this project will make outdoor sports more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for all.
